Josephine Crescimanno, 98 years old, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, in Delaware Personal Care Residence, Matamoras, PA.  A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was born on January 21, 1928, in Brooklyn, NY to Rosario and Rosalina (nee Pernice) Paterno. She was the wife of the late Anthony Crescimanno.

Josephine was the owner of the Blooming Grove Grocery in Blooming Grove, NY, and was a strong businesswoman and a caring community-minded person.

Josephine is survived by her daughter Roseann Crescimanno of Warwick, NY; two sons, Anthony Crescimanno and his wife Deirdre of Gardnerville, NV, and Stephen Crescimanno and his wife Mare of Chester, NY, as well as her six grandchildren: David and Erik Panebianco, Brian and Greg Crescimanno; Sterling Crescimanno and Jenna Horan. Josephine has nine great-grandchildren: Taylor, Lauren, Aidan, Ella, Lucas, Lily, Yi, Ethan, and Isla.

The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 25, at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sandfordville Road, Warwick, NY. Interment will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Chester, NY.
