86, of Warwick, died on Friday, March 25, 2011 after a long illness.
The daughter of Thomas Murray and Elsie Sutton Murray, she was born on August 28, 1924 in Prompton, Pennsylvania.
Jean was married for 49 years to John Milne, who preceded her in death on May 31, 1998. They shared a love of family, friends, golf and music. They were both members of the Warwick Valley Country Club, the Warwick Valley Chorale, and the Warwick Reformed Church and its’ choir.
In addition to her roles as wife, mother and friend, Jean also worked most of her adult life and retired as a legal secretary for the law firm, Beattie & Krahulik.
Survivors include her daughter: Kimlyn Milne and her partner James Baird; son-in-law Scott Dunn; daughter Donna Roe and her husband Bill, all of Warwick; one son, Douglas Milne and his spouse Randall Enos of Middletown, NY; eight grandchildren: Shaina, Ayla, Garlan, Meriah, Ezra, Kristen, Kelly and Billy (wife Andrea); two great-granddaughters brought Jean great joy, Naima and Brooke. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Maurine Dean and her husband Walter of Marietta, GA, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Murray.
Friends may visit on Monday, March 28th, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 29th, at the Warwick Reformed Church, 16 Maple Ave., Warwick. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
