passed away on May 7, 2009 at Cornwall Hospital. She was 80 years old.
Born on August 9, 1928 in Lindewiese, Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Sophie (Hoekel) Hackenberg.
She was married to Ludwig Bach.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Stephen’s RC Church, Warwick.
A family statement reads: “She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, knitting, sewing, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.”
She is survived by her husband, Ludwig Bach, of Warwick; her daughter, Susan and her husband Gary Farkas of Warwick; her son, Ludwig H. Bach and his wife Maureen of Marlboro, NY; four grandchildren: Ludwig M., Amelia E., Adam J. and Megan V.; a brother, Josef Hackenberg of Germany; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 9th, from 6:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Monday at St. Stephen’s RC Church. Private cremation.
