of Sugar Loaf, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2008 at Park Manor, Middletown, She was 89 years old.
Born on March 11, 1919 in Oakland, CA, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Freida Fendt Davis.
She was married to Harold E. Haslam for 52 years.
Virginia was a very active speaker for Stonecroft Ministries, Christian Women’s Club, for many years and has been an active member of the Gideon’s International Auxiliary for 21 years. She was an active member of Sugar Loaf Methodist Church for 45 years.
She is survived by her husband Harold E., of Sugar Loaf; her daughter, Terri Haslam and grandson, Jack Haslam of Chester; a brother, Elwood Davis of CA. She was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Martin and Dorothy Davis, both from California. She is also survived by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marian and Rasmus Erdal, brother in law, Walter Haslam and many nieces and nephews in California, Colorado and Long Island.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 1st, from 9:30-10:30 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am at Sugar Loaf United Methodist Church. Private cremation.
