Elizabeth Glasheen

of Warwick (formerly of Brooklyn, NY), died on May 8, 2008.  She was 85 years old.

 

Born on August 8, 1922 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Matthew and Loretta Hawkins Murphy.

 

She was married to the late Gerard Glasheen (1999).

 

A homemaker, Mrs. Glasheen was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandra Church in Brooklyn.

 

She is survived by her daughters:   Betty Robb and her husband Joseph of Sloatsburg and Geraldine Hastrup and her husband Edward of Sussex, NJ; five grandchildren: Joseph, Jeannine, Colleen, Edward and Gerard; four great-grandchildren: Brittany, Edward, Nathaniel, and Payton; a brother, Daniel Schultz of Warwick; a sister, Florence Rusch of Brooklyn.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday (5/10) and Sunday (5/11) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.   Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Monday at St. Stephens RC Church. Warwick.  Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery,  Queens.
