Born on October 11, 1936 in Warwick, he was the son of William and Pearl (Boyd) Sullivan.
He was married to the late Dorothy R. Sullivan (2005).
Mr. Sullivan was a retired Truck Driver with Shuback Sod Farms in Goshen.
He is survived by his two sons: John L. Sullivan, Jr. and Doug Sullivan, both of Florida, NY; two daughters: Brenda Moore of Goshen and Valerie Sullivan of Camp Creek, WV. He was predeceased by a daughter Barbara Smykla (2001). He is also survived by four brothers: William Sullivan of Middletown, Robert Sullivan of Middletown, Donald Sullivan of Colorado, and Thomas Sullivan of North Carolina; his sisters: Jean Griffiths, Patricia House, Eleanor Williams and Arlene Moulton of Middletown, NY and Kathleen Brown of Tennessee; eleven grandchildren: Kelly Costello and John Sullivan III, of Chandler, AZ, Lisa Sullivan of Bronx, NY, Jason Moore of Wurtsboro, NY, Tracy Moore of Goshen, John Smykla, Jr. of Pine Island, Kayla, Marc and Michael Sullivan of Florida, NY, Vernon and Patrick Stapleton of Camp Creek, WV; six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. . He was also predeceased by two sisters: Helen Elliott and Pearl Deaner.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 1st, from 2-4 & 7-8:30 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 8:30 pm.
