of Warwick (formerly Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Haverstraw, NY), died on Saturday, May 13, 2006. He was 83 years old.
Born on March 2, 1923 in Bronx, New York, he was the son of Carmine Franco and Assunta De Blasio Franco.
Mr. Franco was married to Rose D’Arco Franco.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a Foreman with the Plantation Parks & Recreation Department in Plantation, Florida. He was a former member of Hi-Tor Bowling League in Haverstraw and a member of “I Can Cope” at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Franco; one son: Michael Franco of Sarasota, FL; three daughters: Linda Franco of San Diego, CA, Carol Martin of Bow, NH, and Barbara Daves Mc Elnea of Warwick; three grandchildren: Kyle Franco, Jeffrey Martin and Matthew Martin; two brothers: Thomas Franco of Catskill, NY and Ralph Franco of Holbrook, LI; four sisters: Josephine Liccardi of Yonkers, NY, Jennie Dator of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Stella Allota of Bronx, NY and Eleanor Parco of Levittown, NY. He was predeceased by a sister, Jean Dator.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Monday, May 15th, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday at St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
