Richard G. Hanson, of Warwick, passed away on August 3, 2011 at Schervier Pavilion. He was 82 years old.
Born on June 3, 1929 in New York, NY, and lived in Sommerville, NJ before moving to Warwick in 1996.
He was married to Margaret (Gennette) Hanson.
Mr. Hanson served with the US Army during World War II. He formerly was a Salesman with Marrella in New York and was a part-time greeter at Mid-Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret, of Warwick; a step-son, Paul Cambana of Newton, NJ; his children: Linda Fowler, Russell Hanson and Donna; ten grandsons; a sister, Eleanor Paglerio of Bronx. He was predeceased by a son, Steven Hanson and a sister, Alice.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 5th, from 9:00-10:00 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Warwick Cemetery.
