Peggy Marie (Maggie) Ross, of Cascade Road, Warwick, NY, passed away on February 20, 2013 at Westchester Medical Center. She was born on February 6, 1937 in Allentown, PA.
She was the beloved wife of Jamie Ross, a loving mom and grandmother, and a dear friend to many.
She was a former “Miss Allentown” and a runner-up for “Miss Pennsylvania”. As an actress/singer, her main success was in commercials. Out of the many that she appeared in, she was especially proud of being the “Easy Off Oven Girl”, which ran on television for over nine years, making it the second longest running commercial of all time. She was an avid gardener, loved cooking and never tired of playing Scrabble.
She is survived by her husband, Jamie; her daughter, Noelle Ross Sherer and her husband Dan Sherer, of Milford, PA; her daughter-in-law, Joan Peters of Great Barrington, MA; her grandchildren: Lily Marie Peters of Great Barrington, MA, Julia Marie Nebel of Stroudsburg, PA, and Robert James Sherer of Milford, PA.
She was predeceased by her son, Tarn C. Peters and her granddaughter, Rachel S. Peters.
Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, February 23rd, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.
