of Otisville, (formerly a 30-year resident of Wickham Village, Warwick), passed away on February 11, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern. He was 67 years old.
Born on March 22, 1942 in New York City, he was the son of the late Augustine and Theresa (Foti) Asprea.
He was married to Ida Pilgrene Asprea.
Mr. Asprea was a Warehouse Manager with Pioneer Foods, Carlstadt, New Jersey.
A family statement reads: “He was a wonderful husband, great father, grandfather and an avid Yankee fan.”
He is survived by his wife, Ida, of Otisville; his children: Jeffrey Asprea and his wife Terry of Matamoras, PA, Glenn Asprea and his wife Denise of Greenville, Theresa Marshall and her husband Bill of Milford, PA, and T. J. Asprea and his wife Monica of Milford, PA; eleven grandchildren: Jeffrey, Anthony, Steven, Vincent, Nicole, Danielle, Victoria, Gina, Tommy, Nicholas and Michael; two sisters: Cari Belluzzi , of Bronx, NY and Geraldine Galanti, of Yonkers, NY. He was predeceased by two brothers: Saverio and Dominic.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 15, 2010, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
