Josephine M. Caporimo

Josephine M. Caporimo of West Milford, NJ passed away on June 6, 2022 after a long illness. She was 96 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on January 23, 1926 to Angelo and Angelina SantaMaria.

Josephine married her adored John and together they raised their three children in Brooklyn, NY and Malverne, NY during their 61 year marriage – a marriage made in heaven.  John predeceased her in 2011, her brother Nicholas SantaMaria in 2020 and her beloved son Stephen followed in 2012.  

Left to mourn are daughters Lynne Caporimo of Stouffville, Ontario and Janet O’Connor and her husband Tom of Warwick, NY; granddaughters: Laura Meimari and her partner Jake, Elizabeth Sosler and her husband Eric, Marisa Kuveke and her husband Dylan, and Victoria Alva and her husband Anthony; two great-grandchildren, Theodore Kai Kuveke and Seneca Joy Sosler; sister-in-law Rose SantaMaria and her beloved children; and two close friends who were more like family, Phyllis Mallalieu and Valerie Fischler. Josephine also loved her late cat, Greycie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11 at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick.
