of Lyndhurst, NJ (formerly of Warwick) passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2009 in New Hampton, NY. He was 28 years old.
Born on October 15, 1980 in Goshen, NY, he was the son of Raymond J. Garvey of Warwick and the late Elaine Santiago Garvey (1991).
Jay was a Finance Manager with S & W Motors, Harriman, NY.
A family statement reads: “Jay was known for his love of his friends and family, the Dave Matthews Band, baseball, the Mets and his nieces and nephews – Alyssa, Ryan, Sydney, Kyle and Andrew. He will be missed.”
He is survived by his father, Raymond J. Garvey of Warwick; a brother, Raymond P. Garvey and his wife Lisa of Warwick; a sister, Christine Hoopman of Milford, PA. and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 23rd, from 2-4 & 7-8:30 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will follow at 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Private cremation.
