Avelino Iglesias

Avelino Iglesias, Jr. of Warwick, NY passed away at Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Goshen on October 22, 2018. He was 91 years old.

 

Son of Avelino, Sr. and Frances (Villamil) Iglesias, he was born  in Villagarcia, Spain.

 

Avelino proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Christina Michalka and her husband of Warwick; son, Avelino Iglesias III and his wife, Deborah of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Iris Quinones of New City, NY; and Stella Muniz of Hawley, PA. 

 

Avelino was predeceased by his wife Maria (Galindo) Iglesias in 2009.

 

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. in Warwick Cemetery.
