of Warwick, NY (formerly of Maywood, NJ), died on August 21, 2007 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Warwick. He was 92 years old.
Born on April 16, 1915 in New York City, he was the son of Pio and Antoinette Sautula Mangone.
Mr. Mangone was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was an Auditor/Examiner with the United States Postal Service in New York City and a Sales Tax Auditor with the state of New Jersey. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Maywood, where he served as an usher. A resident of Mt. Alverno Center, he was the President of the Resident’s Council.
He is survived by his son, Peter Mangone and his wife Rosemary of Glenwood, NJ; a daughter, Patricia Mangone of Ferndale, MD; five grandchildren: Richard, Susan, David, Jennifer and Jay; 7-1/2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 24, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 am on Saturday at Mt. Alverno Center, 20 Grand St., Warwick. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
