Edith V. Horton

Edith V. Horton, a 67 year resident of Warwick, passed away on August 14, 2020 at her home in Warwick surrounded by family and friends.  She was 85 years old.

 

Born on May 19, 1935 in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jean De Francesco and Anna Pateracki.

 

She was married to the late Harley Horton.

 

Before retiring, Edith was an Administrative Assistant with Jones Chemical Company, Warwick.  She was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and she was a parishioner of St. Stephens Church, Warwick.

 

She is survived by her children:  Ray Horton and his wife Lori of Goshen, Harley Horton and his partner Richard of Atlanta, GA, James Joseph Horton and his partner Stephen of Middletown, NY, and Jean Horton and her partner Millie of Atlanta, GA;  a sister, Jean McWilliams of Florida, NY;  six grandchildren:  Nichole DeNisco and her husband Joseph, Taylor Horton, Jennifer Blyden and her husband Jordan, Justin Horton, Jordan Horton and Jamie Horton; two great-grandchildren:  Anthony DeNisco and Joseph DeNisco; and former daughter-in-law Denise Trainor and husband Tom of Atlanta, GA. 

 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 19th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 20th,  at St. Stephen RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
