Rose Reda Gorley, of Warwick, NY and formerly of Bronx, NY, passed away on December 28. 2016 at St. Anthony Community Hospital. She was 85 years old.
Born on February 13, 1931 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Ester (Reda) Pisacano.
She was married to the late Robert Gorley. (1978)
Before retiring, Rose was a Psychiatric Social Worker with Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx.
The family would like to thank everyone at St. Anthony Community Hospital for their attentive care to Rose and to the family during her illness. Rose was grateful for the Albert Wisner Public Library and the hours of enjoyment she spent there.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Dowling of Warwick; her granddaughters, Katherine Dowling and Jessica Casucci; a sister, Josephine Pisacano of Mt. Vernon. She was predeceased by her son, Robert (Christopher) Gorley in 1995.
Visitation will be Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.
