a 25 year resident of Warwick, (formerly of Albertson, Long Island, NY), died on August 11, 2006.  She was 50 years old.

Born in Albertson, New York, she was the daughter of Stanley Nagrod and Joan T. Sandmeier Nagrod.

She was married to Gary Burriss.

Mrs. Burriss was a High School Earth Science teacher for many years and most recently taught in Monhagen Middle School in Middletown.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Burriss; six children:  Christopher Donnatin of Newburgh, Kathleen Donnatin of Warwick, Amy Elizabeth Donnatin of Warwick, Emily Burriss of Milford, PA, Cassandra Burriss of Warwick and Zachary Burriss of Warwick;  her mother, Joan T. Nagrod  of Warwick; a brother, Peter Nagrod of MD; sisters, Frances Sinclair of Warwick and Elizabeth Maleike of Middletown; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Jake.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 13, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral service will be on at  10:30 am on Monday at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
