of Warwick, died on May 29, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern. He was 86 years old.
Born on August 7, 1920 in Warwick, he was a lifetime resident of Warwick.
Mr. Raynor was a graduate of Storm King School and attended Cornell University. He was drafted from Cornell during World War II and served with the Army Air Corps.
He was the Owner of Raynor’s Market on Main Street in Warwick and part Owner of Raynor Realty, Warwick. He was a well-known local musician playing the guitar and the banjo and was a music teacher. He was a local historian and proud of the history and character of Warwick. He preserved the Raynor farm on Route 94 through PDR, thereby helping to maintain the rural character of Warwick.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Mc Donald and her husband Michael of Milford, PA, a son, Greg Raynor of St. Helena, CA, a daughter-in-law, Allison Raynor Young and her husband Larry of Unionville; two granddaughters: Sarah Sinsabaugh Piper of Sacramento, CA and Megan Sinsabaugh of Milford, PA. He was predeceased by a son, Dan Raynor and his former wife, Norma Vail Rutan.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 31st, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
