Ethel A. Zanowick

Ethel A. Zanowick, a 25 year resident of Warwick and formerly of Secaucus and North Bergen, NJ, passed away on May 27, 2012.  She was 87 years old.

Born on November 14, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Jessie (Storm) Tissot.

She was the devoted wife of the late Gerald Zanowick(1993).

For many years, Ethel was a Secretary for Robert Koch, Inc., in Fairview, NJ.  She volunteered at Riverside General Hospital in Secaucus, was a member of Warwick Valley Senior Citizens Club, and was a communicant of St. Stephen’s RC Church.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties for their kindness and excellent care that they gave to Mom.

She was the loving mother to one daughter, Laurie and her husband, Mike Wettstein of Warwick;  grandmother to two adored grandsons, Craig and Ryan Wettstein of Warwick; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four sisters:  Dorothy Fitzpatrick, Marie Rechten, Jessie Broderick and Bette Hoos, and two brothers, Robert Tissot and Allen Tissot.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 30th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties for their kindness and excellent care that they gave to Mom.
