
Richard Hartman, Sr. of Warwick, NY passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2022. He was 81 years old.
Born on Staten Island June 20, 1940, he was the son of Harry and Marie (nee Carbonella) Hartman.
Richard served in the United States Coast Guard from 1959-1965. Following the service, he was a corrections officer for the City of New York. After retiring, he worked as a driver for the Staten Island Community Center.
A family statement reads, “Richard was an avid Mets and Jets fan and enjoyed cheering on his teams. He was an animal lover who had pets all his life, and leaves behind his devoted dog, Aubree. Richard also enjoyed fishing at his lake house, but his favorite thing was spending time with his beloved family and friends."
Richard leaves to mourn, his wife of 58 years, Joan (nee O’Brien); son Richard Jr. of Milford, PA; daughter Jennifer Mulgrew and her husband Terry of Congers, NY; two granddaughters, Erin and Marissa and sister Jean O’Donnell of Lenox, PA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23rd at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY.
