
Miriam (nee Marshall) Egan of Warwick, NY, passed away on May 3, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. She was 87 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 23, 1930 to parents Daniel Marshall and May (Clayton) Marshall.
After raising her eight children, Miriam returned to the workforce where she served as a Fund Administrator for Ironworkers’ Local 580 in New York City.
She was a longtime parishioner of St. Stephen RC Church in Warwick.
She was married to her husband of 65 years, Kenneth A. Egan, who predeceased her in 2015.
Miriam is survived by her eight children including son Kenneth Egan and his wife Patricia of Princeton, NJ, daughter Katherine Plebani and her husband Michael of Jim Thorpe, PA, son Michael Egan and his wife Debra of Sparkill, NY, son Matthew Egan and his wife Deborah of Rotonda West, FL, daughter Maureen Contento of Yardley, PA, son Timothy Egan and his wife Cheri of Darien, CT, daughter Patricia Bartolotta and her husband Joseph of Warwick, NY, and daughter Ann Schroeder of Yardley, PA. Also surviving are her fifteen grandchildren: Tracie, Jillian, Michael, Nicole, Joseph, Christopher, Nicholas, Stephanie, Kevin, Ryan, Timmy, Caroline, Danielle, Tommy and Olivia, and her four great-grandchildren: Christopher, Oona, Grace, and Scarlett.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 10 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Rd., Warwick, NY immediately followed by interment in St. Stephen Cemetery, 98 Galloway Rd., Warwick, NY.
