Mrs. Blossom Ferraro died on July 18, 2015  at the age of 96.   Born Blossom Rubin, she was born in Brooklyn and lived most of her life in New York City until she moved with her second husband, Joseph Ferraro, to Florida, New York in the 1980’s. After Mr. Ferraro died, she lived with her daughter in Warwick for several years, until she moved to the Southwinds Retirement Home in Middletown, and then Valley View Center in Goshen. 

Mrs. Ferraro raised her two daughters, Abbey Meyers and Karen Cooper, as a single parent. She was a bookkeeper specializing in automobile dealerships until her retirement at the age of 62.

Mrs. Ferraro is survived by one daughter, 5 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She died while living at Valley View in Goshen. They are grateful for the excellent care she received in her later years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
