Susan M. Geddes

of Warwick (formerly of Albany), entered into eternal rest in her home with her husband at her side on March 27, 2007, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.   She was 55.

 

Born on October 25, 1951in Latham, NY, she was the daughter of the late David Thomas Fitzgerald and Eleanor Zepf Fitzgerald.

 

She was a graduate of Shaker High School and Potsdam College.  She recently retired, after 20 dedicated years, as a Bus Driver for the Warwick Valley Central School District.  She was a former member of the Civil Service Employee Association. 

 

Susan is survived by her husband, Lawrence T. Geddes;  brothers: Mark Fitzgerald (wife Patricia) and Michael Fitzgerald (wife Sonja), and her sister Sharon Newcombe (husband Bruce).  She is also survived by four nieces and two nephews, her grandmother, Mary Zepf; aunts: Helen Gaither(husband Martin) and Edna Borden (husband David); step-children: Anthony Geddes (wife Diane), Celine Lohr, Monique Matuszek (husband William), Mark Geddes (wife Lisa), Todd Geddes and Noel Geddes; 14 step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 29, from 3-5 & 7-8:30 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.  Funeral service will be held at 8:30 pm.  Private cremation. Interment of cremains will be in Memory Gardens, Latham, NY at a later date.
