of Franklin, NJ (formerly of Warwick, NY), passed away on November 26, 2008 at Barnhill Nursing Home, Newton. She was 92 years old.
Born on March 18, 1916 in Pine Island, NY, she was the daughter of John and Katherine (Luft) Scheuermann.
She was married to the late Frank Barry Card (1980).
A homemaker, Mrs. Card was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pine Island.
A family statement reads: “She was a wonderful mother, who gave her children the finest of upbringing and childhood, rich with all the family experiences and adventures any child could hope for.”
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Nagy of Franklin, NJ; two sons: Frank John Card of Ocala, Florida and Lester W. Card; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Norma Bryant; a brother, Harvey Scheuermann; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Scheuermann.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
