Joseph F. Gramuglia
07/30/2026

Joseph F. Gramuglia of Highland Lakes, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, after a long illness. He was 66 years old.

Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, on August 19, 1959, Joe was one of six children born to Jean (née O'Shea) Gramuglia and the late Vincent Gramuglia. He spent his childhood in Ridgefield Park, where he formed the strong family values and work ethic that remained with him throughout his life.

Joe dedicated his career to the masonry trade as a proud member of BAC Local 4 in Fairfield, New Jersey. He took pride in his work, knowing that the buildings and structures he helped create would stand as lasting reminders of his craftsmanship and commitment.

Above all, Joe's greatest pride was his family. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Carol (née Mah); his children, Joseph J. Gramuglia of Caldwell, New Jersey; Sadie M. Gramuglia of Yaphank, New York; and James A. Gramuglia and his wife, Katie, of Wantage, New Jersey. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Jean Gramuglia of Brick Township, New Jersey; his siblings, Vincent Gramuglia of Green Sea, South Carolina; Maria Mancini of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina; Gina Lane of Mahwah, New Jersey; Lisa DaSilva of St. Augustine, Florida; and Tina Gramuglia of Brick Township, New Jersey; along with many nieces and nephews who will remember him with love.

Joe will be remembered for his strength, his dedication to his family, and the quiet impact he made on those who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Saturday, August 1st, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, New York.
