Antoinette Pilgrene

of Middletown and formerly of Warwick, died on July 6, 2007 at Horton Hospital, Middletown.  She was 100 years old.

 

Born on November 11, 1906 in Naples, Italy and coming to the United States at the age of 16, she was the daughter of Angelo De Cesare and Martha Perrone.

 

She was married to the late John Pilgrene (1992).

 

She is survived by three daughters:  Martha Marciano of Middletown, Yolanda Mulrooney of the state of Florida, and Ida Asprea of Middletown; a son, Charles Pilgrene of New Mexico.  She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Juliet Praino and two sons, Anthony Pilgrene and Ralph Pilgrene.

 

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 8th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral mass will be at  12:30 pm on Monday at St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.  Interment will follow in St. Columba Cemetery, Chester.
