(nee Wagstaffe) died peacefully in the present of her family on March 7th, 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Shayne Haysom, and son, Vaughan Wiles.
Born in London in 1922, Patricia was a renowned wildlife artist, specializing in watercolors in the traditional English technique. She graduated from Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa and was stationed at Signal Hill, Cape Town, during World War II as a radar operator. She studied further at the Slade School of Art in London with her husband, Paul Wiles (1918-1997), who shared her passion for wildlife paintings and sculpture. Pat exhibited in South Africa, America and Britain, and her paintings have been acquired by private collectors internationally.
Arrangements for a memorial gathering will be announced.
