of Warwick, passed away on August 27, 2010, at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She was 81 years old.
Born on March 23, 1929 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Malloy) Casey.
She was married to the late Fernando Lopez (1981).
A homemaker, Mrs. Lopez was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick. She was a past employee of Pierce Leahy Archives, a Greenwood Lake Police Dispatcher for several years, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 24 years.
A family statement reads: “She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, who was loved and will be greatly missed.”
She is survived by her three children: daughters Barbara of Greenwood Lake and Eileen of New Windsor; a son, Kenneth of Warwick; five grandchildren: Christopher, JoanMarie, Micaela, Jason and Michael; and eight great-grandchildren; her niece and best friend, Karen Bonomo; several nieces and nephews: and her loving dog and companion, Casey. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Cakel.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 30, 2010, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in St. Stephens Cemetery.
