Joyce C. Diermeier, of Warwick, NY (formerly of New City), passed away on March 24, 2017 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick.  She was 96. 

Born on December 3, 1920 in River Falls, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Sarah G. (Kunselman) Chubb.

She was married to the late Harold F. Diermeier (1980).

Joyce retired as a High School English Teacher with the Warwick Valley Central Schools.  She was a member of the AAUW and was the Gift Shop manager at St. Anthony Hospital for many years.  She was a long time member of the Warwick United Methodist Church.  She was an avid bridge player and bird watcher.

She is survived by her children:  James Diermeier and wife Susan of Yorktown Heights, NY, David Diermeier and his wife Jane of Warwick, Harold Diermeier and wife Jo Anne  of Warwick, and Sarah Grace Heath and husband Brad of Hammonton, NJ; and her grandchildren:  Bradley, Devon, Timothy, Harold, Brett, and Emma Kate. 

The family would like to express their thanks to Amy Bogdanski, Joyce’s faithful caretaker, and the nurses at St. Anthony’s for their wonderful care and compassion, with special thanks to SACH Case Manager Renee Desrats, and Dr. Patricia Rossi, Mom’s personal physician. 

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
