09/28/2025
Andrew J. Williams of Vernon, NJ (formerly of Warwick, NY), passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on September 28, 2025. He was 57 years old.
Born in Red Bank, NJ on September 30, 1967, one of the identical twin boys born to the late Edward and Anne (née Berger) Williams.
Andrew proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves after high school. He served active duty during Operation Desert Shield/Storm 1991 and was a decorated combat veteran. Andy was a graduate of Centenary College.
Andy wasn't a career man, however he was proud of all he accomplished. He solo flew an airplane in Civil Air Patrol in highschool. He loved horses & was a farrier. He worked with exotic animals & the Radio City Christmas Show animal scenes. As a truck driver, he drove through every state. A VET Rep. in NC, he was proud of helping veterans get jobs. Andy could fix your roof, fix your car, frame a building. Andy had so many talents & abilities. He loved animals, especially his "Therapy Cat" Lance Corporal Toot! Andy is a US Marine. He paid for that title to the bitter end. Anyone that knows Andy would say, 'Andy is a great guy, trapped by his demons.' He loved everyone & would do anything he could to help when he was able. He is missed.
Left to grieve this loss are his wife Janice (née Ochs); daughters Jessie Heller and her husband Vincent Heller and Amy McKinnon and her husband Mark McKinnon II, all of Warwick; and two granddaughters Robyn Heller and Tessa D’Esopo. He was predeceased by parents; his twin brother, Edward; and his in-laws, Leslie and Susan Ochs.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, October 6th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.
