Catherine D. Zaveckas, of Warwick, formerly of Richmond Hill, Queens, & NYC)  passed away on January 8, 2012 at Schervier Pavilion. She was 98 years old.

Born on May 5, 1913 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica (Darguzis) Kraujalis.

She was married to the late Stanley Zaveckas.

She is survived by her sons:  Kenneth J. Zaveckas of Gettysburg, PA and Daniel Zaveckas; a daughter, Aileen Stiehle;  11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A family statement reads:  “She loved to share her gifts and talents of cooking, music, arts and crafts  with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

Funeral services were held at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY and interment was in St. Johns Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
