
Louis J. LaFalce, of Warwick, passed away at home on August 20, 2014. He was 81 years old.
Born on January 4, 1933 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Trancini) LaFalce.
Louis served with the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952-56 and then was in the Naval Reserve until 1960. He was a member of the Korean War Association and the American Legion Post 214, Warwick.
He worked for the Ford Motor Company, Mahwah, NJ for 28 years, and then was Head Custodian with the Monroe Woodbury school system for 16 years, and proudly retired from both.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irma (Leibfarth) LaFalce; his children: Thomas J. LaFalce and his wife Nancy of Herndon, VA, Rose Ann McKenney and her husband Richard of Cranford, NJ, and Mark L. LaFalce and his wife Mary of Gig Harbor, WA; his grandchildren: Jennifer Beatty and her husband Travis, Laura Tubesing and her husband Bradley, Kevin LaFalce, Michelle Hill and her husband Jonathan, Joseph McKenney, Daniel LaFalce and Zachary LaFalce; and two great-grandchildren: Justin and Hadley.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 24th, from 2:00-6:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Stephens Church, followed by interment in Orange County Veterans Cemetery.
