Victor P. Petersen of Chester, NY (formerly of Warwick, NY) passed away on September 14, 2021 after a courageous, long battle against lung cancer.  He was 59 years old.

Born in Bethpage, NY on October 20, 1961, he was the son of Victor E. and Carol (Coppola) Petersen.

Vic was a highly respected UPS driver in the Warwick area for 30 years, retiring in 2016. He was a theology graduate and trained minister.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter.

Vic is survived by his three sons: Matthew Petersen and his wife Halee and grandson Jack of Gulf Port, MS, John Petersen of Hurleyville, NY and Jason Petersen of Port Jefferson, NY; sister, Lori DeSalvo of Northport, NY; brother, Scott Petersen of Stratford, CT; step-daughter Rachel Harris; former wife and friend Marianne Petersen; and mother of his children Diane Guidice. 

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Warwick Cemetery.
