64, of Warwick, passed away on January16, 2009 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Warwick, NY.
Born on July 18, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Josephine D’Ambra and the late Rocco D’Ambra.
Mr. D’Ambra retired in 2002 as an English teacher at Northern Valley Regional High School, Demarest. He was a member of St. Stephen’s RC Church, Warwick, NY and a member of the Warwick Lions Club. An avid outdoorsman, he was also a pilot and loved to fly.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Liantonio of Warwick; his mother, Josephine D’Ambra of Allendale, NJ; three daughters: Mary Jo Jani and her husband Nish of Hillsdale, NJ, Jessica Fredrick and her husband Mark of Dumont, NJ, and Stephanie D’Ambra of New York, NY; a sister; Jeanette Zaccheo and her husband Ted of Ramsey, NJ; four grandchildren: Sajel, Mark, Nicholas and Matthew; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 19, 2009 at St. Stephen’s RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990. Private cremation. No visitation.
