Mary R. Jankowski

Mary R. Jankowski, a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away on February 21, 2016 at home.  She was 74 years old.

Born on April 21, 1941 in Warwick, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Williams) Healey.

She was married to the late Gerard Jankowski (2009).

Mary was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.

A family statement reads: “Mary was a devout Catholic.  She was a member of Court St. Anne Catholic Daughters of America, always volunteering.  She had a passion for singing in the church choir.  She enjoyed hosting and attending gatherings with family and friends.  Her favorite past-times were baking and playing games with her grandchildren.”

She is survived by her children:  Catherine Roccabruna and her husband Steven of New Hampton, Julieann Fash and her husband Earl of Briarcliff Manor, Scott Jankowski of Warwick, and Thomas M. Jankowski and his wife Joanna of  Virginia.  She was also the beloved grandmother of Travys, Camron, Isabella, Samuel, Sophia, Olivia and Justin.  Also survived by a sister, Patricia Healey of Goshen and a brother, John Healey of TN.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 24th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in St. Stephens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Warwick Ambulance, PO Box 315, Warwick, NY 10990, Warwick VFW Post 4662, Warwick, NY 10990, or Arthritis Foundation National Office, 1355 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA  30309.

Sorry to hear of Mary's passing. Sending Prayers to her family and friends. I grew up in warwick. My Dad owned Larry's Food Store. Went to school with mary. I was a grade ahead of her.
