William H. Carley, Jr., of Warwick, passed away on September 9, 2011 at NY Presbyterian Hospital. He was 65 years old.
Born on February 23, 1946 in Brooklyn, he was the son of William H. Carley Sr. and Lillian Ivers Carley.
He was married to Marie E. (Cinquemani) Carley.
Mr. Carley was an Auto Mechanic with Brooklyn Union Gas Company, Green Point, Brooklyn.
Known to most as “Poppy” and the greatest husband, father and grandfather, he was the world’s biggest fan of the Cub Scouts. He was a Ham Radio Operator – KAZRKZ – and was a parishioner of St. Stephens RC Church in Warwick.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; his son, William H. Carley III and his wife Jennifer of Middletown; his daughter, Michele Radakovits and her husband Stephen of Florida, NY; a grandson, Julius William Radakovits; a sister, Janet Atria and her husband William of Long Island; two brothers: James Carley and his wife Angela of Lake Mahopac and Michael Carley and his wife Marion of Long Island.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 13th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in St. Stephens Cemetery.
