Warwick, N.Y. - Kenneth Richard Gove, 61, of Hancock, formerly of Warwick, passed away Monday, November 9, 2010, following a sudden illness. Born November16,1948, in Warwick, he was the son of Joseph Richard and Ruth Dale Gove. Kenneth Gove was a mechanic, a loving father and grandfather. A friend to all that met him, he had a heart of gold and always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Survivors include: Fiance, Sharon Procak. Father, Joseph Richard and wife Mary Gove of Mississippi. Two sons, Kenneth Michael Gove and wife, Mary of Statesville, N.C., Arthur Richard Gove and companion, Kevin Branchik of Statesville, N.C. One daughter, Christi Lynn Tippet and husband Jeff, of Statesville, N.C. Mother of children, Valerie Hayes Garnett. Five grandchildren, Keegan Davio, Michael Gove, Kennedy Davio, IvyDale Gove, and Paisley Tippet. Five brothers, Eugene Gove, Thomas Gove, Edward Gove,Harry Gove, and Marvin Gove. Two sisters, Ruthanne McGovern, and Dixie Thompson, all formerly of Warwick, N.Y. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Ruth Dale. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 13, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY.
