"Chuckie" Charles F. Feldner

a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at St. Anthony’s Hospital. He was 60 years old.

 

He was born on March 8, 1948, in Warwick, the son of the late George Martin Feldner Sr. and the late Sarah Frances Sorrells.

 

He was married to Cynthia Sanford.

 

An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Big Red One – the 1st Infantry Division - and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4662, Warwick, as well as a member of the American Legion, where he was a former member of the Color Guard.  He was a retired school bus driver with the Warwick Valley Central School District for 28 years.  He was a 30-year member and past vice president of Goodwill Hook & Ladder Company, a lifelong New York Yankees fan, and a member of the OSAC. 

 

Chuck faced many trials in his life, but through it all was a loving, caring and devoted father, son, brother and friend. He will be missed and remembered by all who knew him.

 

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Feldner of Warwick; his son, Christopher Feldner of Warwick; his daughter, Catilin Feldner of Warwick; his brothers and sister:  Marty Feldner and his wife Nydia, Amy Lawlor, Emmitt Feldner and his wife Terry, and Jim Feldner and his wife Mary; nieces and nephews:  Ethan Feldner, Alex Feldner, Katherine Fernandez, Matt Lawlor, Sarah Lawlor, Amy Beth Lawlor, Lauren Feldner, Robbie Sanford, Ashley Sanford, Chelsea Sanford and Hailey Sanford. 

 

Visitation will be on Friday, October 31, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
