Catherine Vaccarino

of Warwick (formerly of Massapequa, LI, died on July 10, 2007 at Park Manor, Middletown.  She was 87 years old. 

 

Born on February 11, 1920 in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of Giovanni (John) and Concetta Schembri Dainotto.

 

She was married to the late Vito Vaccarino (1977).

 

Mrs. Vaccarino was an Assembly Line Worker with Sally Hansen, Inc. in Farmingdale, New York. She was a parishioner of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.

 

She is survived by her children: Lawrence Vaccarino and his wife Arleen, of Jackson, NJ, Linda Quackenbush and her husband Richard, of Warwick, NY and Frank Vaccarino and his wife Anna “Chickie” of Bethany, CT; her grandchildren:  Chuck Vaccarino and his wife Nicole, Dan Vaccarino and his wife Annette, Ricky Quackenbush and his wife Carolyn, John Quackenbush, Donna Kane and her husband Sandy, Christina Wardowski and her husband Hank, and Teresa Perez; her great-grandchildren: Vanessa, Kailee, Matthew, Luke, Dristin, Kyle, Dylan, Catherine, Kevin, Sarah and Jacob; a brother, Angelo Dainotto and his wife Dorothy of Smithtown, LI; a sister, Mary Carpentieri of Tappan, NY; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers Joseph Dainotto and Frank Dainotto and a sister, Santina “Tina” Pesce.

 

Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at St. Stephens RC Church.  Interment will be at 1:00 pm on Monday at Long Island National Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Ste. 203, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
