
Micah John Havriliak of Warwick, NY, passed away unexpectedly on May 2, 2018 in Harrison, NY. He was 21 years old.
Born in White Plains, NY July 28, 1996 the son of Maria Stasolla and Mark Havriliak.
Micah was a student at SUNY Purchase. He was a poet, musician, actor and artist. Micah was also a feminist, environmentalist, a passionate LGBTQ ally, a lover of all animals, especially dogs, and a loving, compassionate and caring son, brother and friend. He was curious, loved nature, music, fashion, literature and learning and actively sought out the opinions and insights of those around him. He was acutely aware of the loneliness and suffering of others and would reach out to those who seemed most in need of friendship. He was a beautiful, unique and gentle soul, and will be dearly missed.
Micah is survived by his mother, Maria Stasolla at home; his father Mark Havriliak of Spring Valley, NY; sister Marina Havriliak of Brooklyn, NY; paternal grandmother June Havriliak; maternal grandmother Jean Jones and her husband Pete Elvidge of FL; maternal grandfather Mario Stasolla and wife Sharon of NJ; aunts and uncles Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Stasolla of Harrisburg, PA, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Stasolla of Pittsburgh, PA, Mr. and Mrs. Roman Havriliak of Oakridge, NJ, Mr. and Mrs. Damian Havriliak of Rockland County, NY, Matthew D’Amore and wife Michele; aunt Maria Downey and husband Jed; and many cousins.
Memorial visitation on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.
