of Washingtonville, NY,  passed away on January 23, 2010 at Schervier Pavilion.  She was 86 years old.

Born on December 18, 1923 in Bayonne, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William and Rachel (Langenbach) Fahiron.

She was married to the late John Bodnar.

A family statement reads: “A loving and caring person, Rachel will be missed dearly by her family and friends.”

She is survived by her son, John Bodnar and his wife Carol of Warwick, NY; a daughter, Jill Ritschl and her husband Gustavo of Monroe, NY; four grandchildren:  Shannon Lopez and her husband Ed, John Bodnar and his wife Jennifer, Gustavo Ritschl IV, and Kristen Trudeau and her husband Robert; seven great-grandchildren:  Briana, Alexa, Shelby, Paige, Elizabeth, Angelina and Danika; a sister, Jean Cupo of Perth Amboy, NJ.

A memorial service will be announced at a future date.
