John Settembre of Warwick, passed away on April 16, 2011 at Summit Park Hospital, Pomona, NY. He was 87 years old.

Born on April 27, 1923 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Teriggio and Concetta Settembre.

He was married to Marjorie Settembre.

Mr. Settembre served with the US Navy during World War II and was an Aircraft Mechanic with Republic Aviation Corporation, Farmingdale, NY. He was the President of Golden Seniors, Warwick, NY and a member of AARP, serving as Vice President in Warwick.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Settembre of Warwick; two sons: Terrence Settembre and his wife Donna of Monroe, and Richard Settembre of Syracuse; six grandchildren: Scott, Ethan and Kurt Settembre and Ryan, Lauren and Megan Skow; four great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Neil Skow; and a sister, Stella Biscardi of East Hampton, NY. He was predeceased by a daughter, Marie Skow in 2004.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 19th, from 2-4 & 7-8:30pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY, with a family remembrance service at 8:30 pm. Interment will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen.
