Stevon “Steve” C. Veronelli od Poughkeepsie, NY (formerly of Rutherford, NJ) passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2022 at home. He was 50 years old.
Born in Paterson, NJ, on August 29, 1971, he was the son of the late Geneveva Rodriguez and the adopted son of the late Joseph Veronelli.
Steve, or “Benny” as many of his family called him, was a radiology technician for New York Presbyterian Hospital.
A family statement reads, “Steve was very into fitness; he liked to bicycle and mountain climb. Steve was a genuine, kind person - funny a lot of the time – He always had a smile and a kind word for the people he interacted with. He will truly be missed.”
Left to grieve are his two brothers, Robert Veronelli and his wife Andrea of Hamburg, NJ and John Veronelli of Middletown, NY; and two nieces Chloe and Madison.
Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a 5:00 funeral service at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.
