Vairin M. Henshaw of Greenwood Lake, (formerly of Nyack, NY) passed away on February 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 73 years old.
She was born in New Orleans, LA on April 5, 1944 to Troup and Alice (Westfeldt) Matthews.
Vairin worked in customer service for Capital Risk Management, an insurance brokerage firm in Nanuet, NY for many years.
While she enjoyed gardening, reading, and needlework, she most enjoyed spending time with her family.
Vairin is survived by her three daughters, Alice Henshaw of Pine Bush, Eleanor(Nora) Henshaw and Katerine Ravielli both of Greenwood Lake; a son, Joseph “Chip” Farnham III of Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Sarah Escowitz and Christine Batten both of Berkeley, CA, and Mary Matthews of Nyack, NY; and five grandchildren.
Memorial visitation will be held at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4-6:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Private cremation.
