Born on July 9, 1929 in New York City, he was the son of the late Michael and Marie Meer Bohan.
Michael was a Branch Manager at Bowery Bank for many years in New York City. He later worked as a Public Information Officer for the IRS also in New York City. Michael served in the Army during the Korean War.
A family statement: “He was a loving and caring Uncle and a loving Cousin to many in the Bohan Family.”
He is survived by his nephews: Thomas Bohan of Yonkers, NY, Brian Bohan of Monroe, NY and Frances Bohan of Old Bridge, NJ; one sister-in-law: Rose Bohan of Bronx, NY; two cousins: Fr. Philip Bohan of Long Island, NY and Cassie Meer of Queens, NY.
Visitation will be Monday, May 5, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Lazear-Smith and Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 6 at St. Anthony Chapel at Mount Alverno Center. Interment will follow at Calvery Cemetery, Queens, NY.
