Edward A. Carr, a lifetime resident of Warwick, NY, passed away on September 20, 2021 at Schervier Pavilion. He was 81 years old.
Born on May 3, 1940 in Middletown, NY, he was the son of Lawrence and Eva (Theis) Carr.
Prior to his retirement, Ed was a lineman with Orange & Rockland Utilities, working out of Monroe. Ed was a volunteer fireman for the Warwick Fire Department for many years and was an original member of Engine Company 3.
Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Linda and is survived by their children: Larry and his wife Kelly Carr of Front Royal, VA, Mark Carr of Reynoldsburg, OH and Shelley Carr of Warwick, NY; five grandchildren: Kady Adams (Ford), Greg, Wes, Matthew, and Jason Carr; and three great–grandchildren: Wells, Hattie and Rose. He was also predeceased by his brother, Fred.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990. Interment will be in Warwick Cemetery.
