Born on October 21, 1952 in Staten Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Nelson and Santa Maria Malandrino.
She was the wife of the late Lt. Michael Fodor, who was killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2001.
Mrs. Fodor attended the High School of the Performing Arts, Manhattan. She was an Interior Sales Assistant at Port of Call, Warwick. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Warwick.
A family statement read: “She was a devoted wife and mother”.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Fodor, of Manhattan; two sons: Michael Thomas Fodor of Warwick and Andrew Steven Fodor of Croton-on-Hudson; two sisters: Barbara Doherty and Joann Gross, both of Staten Island; a brother, Thomas Nelson, of Staten Island.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 9th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday at Christ Episcopal Church, 50 South St., Warwick. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
