of Warwick, passed away on October 24, 2010 at her home. She was 84 years old.
Born on October 6, 1926 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Everett “Pete” Hedges and Pauline Dobrowolski Hedges.
Marie was formerly the Assistant Town Clerk for the town of Warwick. In her retirement, she was a receptionist at Mt. Alverno Center, Warwick. She was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters.
A family statement reads: This tapestry we call family is a blending of spirits – gentle to strong, uncertain to sure, young to old. It is rich in its texture of memory, laughter, colorful stories, and woven with a sense of gratitude and belonging. Marie Crover, wife, mother, grandmother, family, and friend, was a master weaver in this tapestry we call “us”.
She is survived by her son, Peter Crover and his wife Julie of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren: Egan Crover, Blair Crover and Jonathan Crover; a sister, Evelyn Sheil of Middletown, NY.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Friday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in St. Stephens Cemetery.
