of Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2009. He was 17 years old.
Born on March 13, 1991 in Middletown, NY, he was the son of Juan and Angelina (Bautista) Chavez.
Bryant was an honor roll student at Warwick Valley High School where he played football as a freshman and he attended BOCES for Auto Mechanics. Bryant loved to snowboard.
“As big as Bryant was, his heart was even bigger. He was the friend that everyone knew they could turn to when they needed someone to talk to. He especially loved his family, and they will always miss him and love him.”
He is survived by his parents, Juan and Angelina Chavez of Warwick; a brother, Edgar Chavez; his maternal grandparents, Gerardo and Reynita Bautista of Mexico; his maternal great-grandmother, Maria Lorenzo; his aunts and uncles: Alfredo Jose and Marianna Bautista of Florida, NY, Fernando and Mary Bautista of Warwick, Jorge and Angeles Bautista of Mexico, Gerardo and Ana Bautista of Mexico, Esther Bautista of Mexico, Yolanda and Hugo Garcia of Mexico, Manuel and Rebecca Chavez of CA, Samuel Chavez of Mexico, Moses Chavez of Mexico, Marylu Legaspi of Mexico, and Lourdes Chavez of Mexico; cousin, Melissa and Carmine Borelli of Florida; 2nd cousin, Manuel and Martha Arredondo of TX. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Raymundo and Ofelia Chavez
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 1st, from 7-9 pm and Monday, February 2nd, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.. Mass of Christian Burial will at 11:00 am on Tuesday at St. Stephens RC Church. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
