Sarah B. McGovern, of Warwick, passed away on November 27, 2013 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick. She was 85 years old.
Born on September 24, 1928 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Houston Bradner and Mary Virginia Compton.
She was married to Thomas McGovern, Sr.
Sarah was retired as a Secretary with the Building and Planning Board for the Town of Warwick. She was a former Librarian in Warwick Middle School and formerly was a Secretary with Lehigh & Hudson Railroad. Sarah was a member of the Warwick United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas McGovern, Sr., of Warwick; her sons: Thomas McGovern, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Warwick, Brad McGovern of Warwick, Charles McGovern of Warwick and David McGovern of Warwick; and her five grandchildren: Lori, Brian, Jessica, Derrick and Amanda. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Sarah in 2009.
